no it runs south for a long way it dumps in too the grand river right before truman lake

i accces it mainly from private ground most of the farmers around will let you access if you ask if you are looking for carp big creek is full of them

i have fished big creek which comes out of james a reed i fished manily on it 5 to 10 miles south of reed but i have caught catfish crappie white bass and a couple of walleye
