We are headed to Montana next week hoping the river levels will go down but we have a few secret mountain lakes which are always good my grandparents have a cabin 15 miles south of the Canadian border in the western corner that we are staving in.

Nope - never been to Montana. Have a friend who moved up there a couple of years ago (near Missoula) who has invited me to come stay with him to do some fishing, riding and hunting, but he says the rivers were frozen later than normal and are still blown out right now - he was hoping to get on the rivers before the end of July.

We caught quite a few on small PMDs friday morning and more in the evening. During the day on friday fishing was tough only had luck on a brown wooly. Saturday was crowded and only caught 2 fish from the bell to 11 one on a softhackle the other on a brown san juan but still had a great time.

We are going to BSSP next weekend water looks a bit high, got any favorite flies?
