Sorry I couldnt get this up any earlier... With the wife having surgery friday (and she is recovering very well)... its been a hell of a weekend...... Thanks to everyone for all the get wells for her! Saturday night.. I met up with Randy from St.Louis.. we got on the water about 9:30... we headed to the big hole to start.. as soon as we got the we hit a couple right off.. then it slowed way down. we still were getting the strikes.. just not many hook up... after a while and probably 15 fish... we headed to the flat (of course we had to stop of for some special coffee) we noticed not very many people there.. so we went to the flats.... we used 2 flies all night... the black/uv red hibernator.. and the black/ uv pruple ... as we walked in Randy dropped his fly into the water and stripped some line from the reel.. as he lefted to cast.. he had a fish on the kicked his butt..... a sweet 19incher..... what better then a 20inch rainbow.... how about 3 back to back cast all 19inch...... we finished off the night catch about 15-18 more each.... all very heathy fat fish... most were in the 15-18in range.... Sunday Night.. met up with Doug and Bill (from Alabama).. lots in the parking lot.. yet not very many people to be seen... we head to the big hole and started with the Hibernators... picking a few... started really slow... after a couple hours with a fish here and there... we headed to the car... (Yep.. you know what its time for)... off again toward the flats.. this time we found some nice fish.. but nothing over 17... we stayed till just after 4am... totaling out just over 30... a little slow... but it was a GREAT NIGHT!! all in all... A wonderful Fathers Day Weekend for the 4 of us!!!........ And to the rest.. (its late..but) Happy Fathers Day to all the dads!! Leonard

I wonder if this is the NEW way of changes.... City council drafts plan to attract better looking hookers to Cincinnati: CINCINNATI - Calling it an essential element for building future growth and prosperity, City Council is putting special emphasis toward bringing more attractive prostitutes to Cincinnati. The bipartisan effort has support from city government and private sector groups. “I think the prostitution sting we had downtown a few weeks back was the last straw,” explained Councilman Jeff Berding. “Those mugshots were a black eye for the city...not an attractive hooker in the bunch. In fact, the only one who looked even mildly cute had driven down from Butler County. It’s not surprising no one wants to hold a convention here. Not even a Newport Shriner would solicit those gals.” The Chamber of Commerce is also on board with the plan. In conjunction with local businesses, they’ve created a young prostitution networking group called H.O.H.O.H., an acronym for “Harnessing Our Hot Own Hookers”. The city will set aside stimulus money for programs to mentor local young ladies who are considering a career in prostitution. Efforts will also be put into recruiting attractive prostitutes from other cities in the region and nationwide. HO spokesman Tricia Lockwood said that this is an important element, “We want attractive young ladies from Chillicothe or Eaton or Richmond, Indiana who are considering a careers in hooking to realize everything Cincinnati has to offer. We need to reach out to them before they make their way to Chicago or New York.” “This plan is important for city growth in so many ways,” said Mayor Mallory. “In fact, it fits into existing plans to revitalize Vine Street, to bring young professionals to town, and even to build light rail. Think about how much more fun that train ride would be with a couple of scantily clad professional ladies on board.” The final votes for funding will happen later this month, after several council members gather for a fact finding tour in Las Vegas.

Over the past few weeks.. I have the best action when the water is dropping.. once its down and out.. it slows down for a while then startes to pick up agian... if you hit with 2 units on ... its ben good.. then when it shuts down to 1 and the water is dropping... once its off... the bite really fires up... there is that hour where you loss all current.. this is when its it slowest... I would try to get down there and fish this week... but family issues... Momma going in for surgery late this week and looks like its going to be a wild ride..... Leonard

I met up with Phillip (Zander) friday night and with a few car in the parking lot we decided to head down to KOA.. The water was shut off at 7pm and turn on again at 9pm (2units).. and shut back down around 11:30 it started out pretty slow.. Phillip hooked the first fish of the night on a black and purple hibernator.. As for me I went about a hour and a half completely fishless..... I was toss around a few new things and did pick up a few bumps here and there..... when I did finally get into them it was on the nat/tan PMS.. dead drifting... picked up maybe 4.. after a short time.. I switched over to an Olive PMS... picking up another 5 or 6.. then switched again.. to the olive/purple Hibernator.. and that was the ticket .. picked up another dozen or so... fat and chunky!!! when the water finally dropped out the current stopped... and so did the bite... we headed out somewhere around 2:30 (maybe 3am) Saturday night.. I met up with Henry (Fly2Fish).... we head to the rebar/gaunlet/big hole Fishing waas AWESOME!! I started out with a Tungsten head (tied on a jig hook) PMS... WOW the strikes I was getting was dang near ripping the rod out of my hands....... hooked up only a couple.. then I switch over...... get ready for this one...... an Articulated PMS....... and it ripped them up...... after several nice fish I moved down to the big hole and on the way I was passing Herny and showed him the flies.... well his word were..... " CENSORED"..... LOL... if thats helps you to figure out what he said.. after a few more fish I changed over to the oilve/purple hibernator... and picked up a couple dozen more.. Henry shouts down to.... " Hey!!! you still throw that big ugly S.O.B." I told him I was throwing the Hibernator... and he switched over to a Black and Purple... picked up some really nice fish.... Well Momma called and wasnt felling good.. so I headed home.... On the way out Henry almost step on a bog ol'flat head catfish (about 15lbs)..... well I picked it up and was still just barely moving... so I took it home to have a heck of a fish fry!! I guess the gates being opened saturday (day) would explain wya he was there... (Henry has a picture of it)... **** That flat head had to be one of the best catfish I had ever eatting*** (NOTE: I dont like the taste of catfish!!!)...... but that was GOOD!

I noticed that early morning or early evening is one of the best time to throw a softie (lets not forget about the crackleback as well).. yes you can throw them all day long.. but when it low light... you can up you size.. to a 12 or 14 for better hook ups.. Leonard

I met up with a few guys from Feather-craft. two of them went up top and Evan and I headed to the big hole... I started with the PMS and picked up alot of hard strikes.. He changed over to (I think) a mini zonker.. picking up a few on that.. Well. I pulled out the mohawk sculpin.... and we ripped them up!!! (note: bright moon try white!!) well after a couple dozen fish we headed back up to see how the other guys were doing. after a bit of tips and info.. we switched area... Evan and I headed up... Mike and Mike headed down.. We started just below the log and first cast out with the Hibernator.. I nailed one (before he was even in the water...LOL... sorry..I had to) we picked up another dozen or so fish.. and by now We started seeing the west get a pink light to it and I had to head to the house... Leonard (NOTE: There is a lot of moss on the bottom... BE CAREFUL!!!!)
