I am using a cheapy White River fly shop Dogwood Canyon combo -

I noticed the flow rate too, looked a little high. I mainly fished within 150 yds upstream of the red bridge. lots of people came to the park so I am going to try the upper wire road access , and replenish my fly box with replacements and new patterns, thanks for all of the help!

There were some risers, should have thought about doing that before . Do you usually look for trout or cast to a place that look like it has trout? I saw the silver of trout moving to take aquatic insects but couldn't get them to bite.

I fished crane for the first time today. I arrived at the city park at 8:15 and cast my line in. I was using a yarn indicator with a size 12 GRHE with a red san juan worm as a trailer. I hiked upstream and stopped where i could see 7-8 trout. i proceeded to loose 9 flies and only 2 hookups occurred, sadly both were lost . I was wondering what setup you guys use and what the best flies were. I also want to know if fishing at upper wire road is better. Thanks
