  1. Jim, at least you got their mouth open!
  2. Cold nights have kept water temps down. Hope to see some warmer weather ahead and warmer nights. Be there next week
  3. Good to see some folks catching them. Thanks for the feedback. Not arriving until the 21st, but hope a few are still biting!
  4. I have always heard three days later is good after a full moon. Our tail waters below Truman Dam (Lake of the Ozarks) are now on the radar screen for a Tuesday Thursday trip. Dam is moving some water so fish with the 60 degree temps will start to move - crappie, white bass walleye, and of course gar. Just put a new 9.9 pro kicker on my boat so can't wait to give it a try. Good luck to all as this warmer moves us to spring.
  5. Thanks guys - if it was always easy we would not have that much fun. Catching fish when others are not is exemplary of a good fisherman. Just have to try and compete against the walleye and see if I can win. But if you hear anything let me know.
  6. So it sounds like if I do catch fish I should not post or share. Or as some do make up a story about where I caught fish to make others think I knew what was going on or to protect and keep my spot a secret. Good lord...what ever happened to good people sharing good days fishing? Makes me wonder if any fishing report is true.
  7. Been to this rodeo a few times. Water has to move, days get longer and water warms. Fish will move when they want to but lots of river to fish and they don't all end up in the same place. I am too far away to see the boats, but totally agree as we fish below Truman here and boats mean fish are biting. Just looking for some reports - will be there regardless.
  8. Really hoping folks post the walleye migration report. Fishing it hard last year in the last week of March and just too early in 2014. Caught a few near the Holiday area, but hoping this year the timing is better. Please provide news if you hear of the walleye moving up the White. Thanks
  9. Fished it hard Saturday and missed a couple but picked up one nice walleye. Temps up to 46. Many at houseman boat ramp talked that neither white bass or walleye are up the river. One said the spawn is over so.... Will return next March to try it again. Thanks for the advice and conversation
  10. Oh yes
  11. Been there the last two days. Windy but hooked a hog and it popped of at the net yesterday. Today one bass. Too windy to slow things down. 43 degree temps.
  12. Sounds like Beavertown makes more sense. I understand about running in tight quarters. Tanneycomo is like this and they rip right past you. Looks like we are actually heading down Tuesday morning. The run from the dam to Beaver is not to bad, but it is a haul south to war eagle. Not sure I will make it down there this time.
  13. So put in at Houseman and go down to where? Beaver? I have fished Houseman upstream, but not downstream. I have a 20'walleye boat so am I OK on this stretch of river? Hate to ask too many questions, but will take whatever help available as I learn the area.
  14. So back to the topic - any one catching any walleyes below Houseman?
  15. Geez, it is a haul from the dam to war eagle I would guess. Any thoughts on the route and I wonder if I could leave my boat there? Otherwise, can we catch anything near the dam? Walleye, crappie? More or less it sounds like the lake is slow to fishing until the fish spread out a bit, but crappie don't have to make the move. I would guess warm gravel banks if the water temps get to 50 degrees will produce. What about walleye?
