The silver lining to all the rain clouds was getting to go to the Bass Pro outlet store on our way home and scoring some 2 Vendetta rods and BPS reel for $100. And trust me when I say that my wife will know how to use her new baitcaster by the time we come back this summer. Thanks Don, it was a really solid fish, sure didn't look that big in the water. Just got lucky she seemed to want my jig more than Phil's.

I just wanted to say thanks to Philip Stone for our trip this weekend. My wife and I had a great time during our monsoon shortened adventure on Table Rock this weekend. He put us on fish in a short amount of time and even comped us for a future trip since we got rained out in about an hour. Not sure if that is par for the course as far as guides go, but I thought he was a total "class" guy. He was very helpful showing my wife how to operate spinning tackle properly, and was nice enough to let me out fish him. Thanks again, Matt (pondboss)
