Can anyone tell me what the current water temperature is at Stockton and if you have a feeling when it may turn-over. This time last year a friend and I were up for some fall Crappie. Marked a ton of them and never caught one in two days of hunting. We attributed our lack of success to lake turn-over. I am not from this area and am wondering if turn-over has the same effect on the fishing as it does up north. We always had to wait 2-3 weeks after turn-over for fishing to improve.

Dutch, won't be coming up until Sunday. We should be the only dark green lund out there. Maybe we'll see you on the water.

Dutch, The next time you're out look for the dark green 1650 Lund with the Honda on the back. (Typical Minnesota walleye rig) Hope to be up beginning of next week. Wallichaser Quillback I'll definitely let you know on our trip up within the next few weeks. I hope to try my hand a few times before deer season begins in November up north. I mean way up north next to Lake Siberia (Superior) Good luck on the Eyes. As we all know, there's only one thing better than catchin em....that's eatin em! Wallichaser

I want to make a trip up for some walleye fishing soon but am a little worried about the lake conditions after all the rain we recevied since last Wednesday....close to 8". Marty reported timber floats a week or so ago from the last rain so does anyone know what it might be like for the week of Sept10? I've seen what this type of weather does to the fishing when you get the lakes so far above flood stage. Might as well play golf. Would appriciate any current info before I make the drive up from NW Arkansas. Wallichaser

I'm new to the area and have made one trip to the Upper White putting in at Holiday Island. Anyone out there with local knowledge on the illusive "Walleye". Do they run up river in the spring for the annual spaun and do they remain in the river like some do back in the home waters of Minnesota? I do realize that I am in Bass, Trout and Crappie country but as they say back home....there's only one thing better than catchin em..that's eatin em. Hey to all you fisher-persons out there. I am a recent transplant to NW Arkansas (Bella Vista) from the cold country of Minnesota. Since my arrival, I'be been researching many area sites looking for information on the hunt for the illusive "Walleye" in this part of the country. I've been told they do exist in a number of lakes and river systems so I hopeing there are a few of you out there willing to share some local knowledge of this tasty treat.
