  1. Are there any bait shops around that sell shad, crawfish, or perch? Thanks in advance
  2. Does anyone know any baits shops around that sell shad, crawfish, and/or perch? Thanks in advance
  3. What are you fishing for? If you're fishing for black bass, I have had a ton of luck using plastics around the cove by Cedar Ridge and the Masters area in about ten feet of water. Just position your boat parallel to the shore and find the pattern for the day. If you're fishing for crappie, there's an MDC brush pile in the cove by Cedar Ridge also, marked by a Green sign from the MDC that's up on the bank. I've been catching crappie using jigs down around the bottom.
  4. What's everyone using at Taney? Trout eggs, rooster tails, or is the bite so hot that it really doesnt matter?
  5. Thanks for the tip Bill. I follow your posts quite a bit and appreciate everything you have to offer.
  6. I would like to take the kids crappie fishing Saturday and Sunday. I will put in around Big Cedar/Clevenger Cove area, any good crappie spots around the Long Creek/darn areas that anyone know of? I bass fish a lot and have not crappie fished in quite sometime, but would like the kids to enjoy themselves. Any tips or spots would help out a lot. Thanks in advance!!!
  7. I'm headed to the Rock this weekend and getting the boat all fired up. I was wondering if the largemouth are shallow yet up at Table Rock and any spots I should hit in the Long Creek area? Thanks, Shawn
  8. I was fishing at taylors today for 3 hours and caught approx. 18 white bass, took 6 home with me. I also caught 3 largemouth and a walleye. I was wading to get to several pockets but the whites are there. I did catch mostly males, but did catch a few big females as well. I was using a yellow rooster tail all day.
  9. I fished Taylors today for about an hour. No whites, but did catch a few largemouth. I was using a yellow sonic vibric rooster tail. Last year I would catch my limit of whites within 45 min to an hour on that lure using a VERY fast retrieve. Whites are making their way to Taylors though, shouldnt be too much longer
  10. I got them figured out, thanks though Bob
  11. That would be awesome if you could do that for me!! My email is SPMedic337@yahoo.com
  12. Bob, I took your advice and went to the website. When I click on their fish attractor link its taking me to an interactive map and from there i can find the GPS link? If you zoom in on the maps it gives them to you, but having trouble finding downloadable gpx files.
  13. Thanks Bob!!! I'll go check it out
  14. I also just bought a new Humminbird 597 and am needing some help as well. I have downloaded the easy GPS to my computer as well as HumminbirdPC. I cant find a MDC link to download any brush pile cordinates other than Table Rock Lake? I have those saved to my computer but need help in uploading them. Sorry, I'm a little confused when it comes to this kind of stuff. Any help would be appreciated.
  15. Well said Boobie
  16. I had the same issues today over by Cedar Ridge. It was a combination of jet skiers and tubers that really did have plenty of other room and came within 20 feet of my Nitro about 100 times. The lake was calm, like you said other than that. I had success on plastic worms as well, have been for the past couple of weeks. I grew up a lake kid and I was taught the right way to do things, I think more and more people are just buying jet skies without having been out on the lake, but you think people would have more common sense. It felt like I was in the ocean for awhile or trying to ride a bull just stay on the front deck of my boat.
  17. Uncle Josh, I've never really fished the Sons Creek Arm but have heard many good things about that area. The past few weeks I have had a lot of success flippin a Texas Rigged pumpkinseed or watermelon candy worm in the Masters area and around the Cedar Ridge Rec Area starting in the flooded bushes to out around 12 feet of water. I've had a couple 30 fish days in the past few weeks and caught a quite a few 3 and 4 pounders around the Cedar Ridge Area as well. Hope this helps, Shawn
  18. I would also recommend Cedar Ridge area. That's where I mainly put in. People are always tubing around that area and there is a beach as well.
  19. I've prob been out 6 times the past couple weeks. The water level had dropped a few feet from the floods, but there was still some flooded bushes and what not. Water level for Stockton is still high and after tonight and the rest of the week I'm sure its going to rise back up some.
  20. I haven't been fishing around High Point, but usually put in at Cedar Ridge and fish around that area. I've had quite a bit success fishing in that area. Two days ago, I had 20 plus bass in just around 3 hours hit a Texas Rigged pumpkin colored worm. 8 of those bass were prob in the keeper range. I found the bass in about 15 feet of water about 12-8 feet deep. I also had a few bigger crappie hit my spinnerbait lol.
  21. What are kind are ya fishing for?
  22. Absolutely great for shallow water fishing and sight fishing for bass. They are very quiet and go down with the press of a button. Great investment.
  23. I was bass fishing all day today in Maze Creek and around Price Branch. When I got up to Price Branch, I was fishing a Texas rigged pink worm and ended up with two 20 inch walleye, so I dont know what to tell ya, lol. The fishing was pretty scattered today. I will be back out again tomorrow as well. Best of luck to ya.
  24. I mostly bass fish up at Stockton, but everyone seems to be catching Walleye like crazy at Stockton right now. You will have a hard time catching Walleye at Pomme. Let me know how ya do. Shawn
