  1. Do you really think the Corps will manage minimum flow right? The same people who can't even tell you what generation will be tomorrow (maybe) until late afternoon? Summer of 2014 - Norfork dam had siphon issues so in order to meet minimum flow they just cracked open the flood gates with warm water to get the required CFS that the new rules required bumping water temperature way up: http://flyfisharkansas.com/archives/2856 I would agree with Pete that minimum flow has created less wading opportunities. The shops and guides probably love minimum flow though because more people are having to book a guide with a boat that otherwise would be wading on their own. Plus they don't have to compete with wade fishermen for water. Conditions are not great right now but I wouldn't be screaming for minimum flow quite yet.
  2. Likely a dumb question, but this dummy needs clarification - Do you need to have MO trout tag / stamp to fish during the catch and release season, or do you just need to buy a daily tag at the park store?
  3. I didn't see this posted yet, but there are plans to put in a concrete walkway between the bridge and the dam with donation money: http://articles.ky3.com/2011-08-29/trout-fishing_29943365
  4. Thank you guys for the follow up. I had wondered if fishing with a dropper fly was legit in the trout parks, but sounds like it is. I'll have to break down and try some of the glo balls under an indicator, and be patient to get the fly down deep in areas. Standing on the spillway looks like a bad idea for me. I have a healthy respect for how clumsy I can be and that looks like a good way to become a youtube sensation.
  5. Is fishing with a strike indicator the prime way to fish at Bennett? I'm brand new to fly fishing, and I've kind of resisted using an indicator thus far. All of the people I see hammering the fish at Bennett are using indicators though and I've never been able to tell what flies they're using. Any clue what the people that are having such good luck are using? I was there this past Sunday and just barely avoided being skunked! I've had good luck with a variety of things at Roaring River, but I can't seem to figure Bennett out.
