Thanks you for the info, hopefully we will have a good time. This will be his first time in a kayak and sounds like it will work out great maybe a little more work than I would like but that's okay.

I was wondering if anyone could let me know how this float is? I am going with a friend that has very little floating experience. Is this a good float to take? We probably won't do a lot of fishing. I have floated the James many times from shelvin, hootentown, etc.. I kinda want to check out this stretch. Anything I would have to worry about with him?

I am thinking of floating from Riverdale to Hootentown and was wondering if this was a good idea. Would the water be too low along the way? Or are there any other issues? I know I can't park at Riverdale so I am just gonna have my wife drop us off.
