  1. I have been on Tablerock many times through the years and most of the time within the last couple of years but still very unfamiliar with the lake. I have never fished this great lake but would like to. Around my home I fish for largemouth mostly. I will be staying in the Aunts Creek area and there is a boat launch there. Is this area of the lake decent bass fishing? Will I be alright fishing around bank edges at first light til about 10 a.m.? I usually throw buzzbaits, 2-8 ft crankbaits and plastic worms/craws. I here alot of people saying to use swim baits off of gravel bar points on the lake and fishing around 10-15 ft down or working jigs down the gravel bar. Where are most of these gravel bars located? Thanks for any advice.
  2. I've only been fly fishing once with a guide on the White and we mostly just drifted some egg patterns. I had fun and caught a fair number of fish. I am now hoping to learn the fly fishing ropes when it comes to fishing the area. My main focus will be Taneycomo and the White. I have all the general necessary equipment. Now I just need some pointers from my fellow fisherman. I'm going to be in the area from June 30-July 4 weekend. 1. Based off of most everything I have read it sounds as though there is alot of generation so I'm guessing wading is out of the question? So if boating on higher water what is the best tactic? 2. Like I said I am a virgin when it comes to fly fishing and correct lingo so what (flies/patterns) would a beginning fly fisherman use and also how to fish certain flies for my best chances at catching some trout on Taney and the White? Also, what type of variety should I have in my fly case? eggs, midge patterns, san juan worm, wooly bugger, pheasant tail nymph, soft hackle flies? So as you can see I just need help in general to get started. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
