Coming down this weekend and staying in niangua arm. Wondering what the water temp and how muddy it will be with the all the rain? Do you all think it may be best to trailer up closer to the dam?
what do you think about running the motor on a car starting battery instead of a marine battery. Then put my bilge, livewells, electronics on a marine battery of it's own. Could the motor keep its battery charged from the alternator? would a group 29 marine last all day with the electronics and other stuff all day?
That is what I am running into. Electronics will freeze or turn off when I start the motor. Other problem Ive found is finding a 1000 + CCA battery in my area.
I currently have a 225 optimax with a group 29 battery that has 800 MCA. on my boat they have the electronics, and bilge pumps hooked up to the starting battery. would the group 24 1000 MCA be enough to run electronics and livewells all day? I'm pretty sure the 225 optimax needs more than 800 MCA.
Coming down this weekend with wife's family and was thinking of bringing the bass boat to fish. They say their docks aren't open yet which is ok and they have a place to park boats. Anyone know what its like parking a boat on a trailer there or if they have power accessible to charge batteries?
Doesn't look like many look at this Smithville page but would like to see more reports on smithville. Water Temps anywhere from 56 on main lake to 62 up the rivers. Caught all crappie in 4' of water that was near the bank. Nothing really good. 5 on Saturday 9 sunday. With the weather I predict them to move to the back this week. Also caught some bass on a square bill.
Nice fish. Fished cow and little cow Saturday also. Did really good on rk crawler on south facing banks leading into the spawning pockets. Didn't catch one fish on the north facing side. Caught a limit of largemouth, smallies, and a spot worth maybe 15lbs. Like said before I caught most of my fish in a 2 hour window at about 9 a.m. then went dead and and picked back up after lunch for another hour. First window of fish was best one.
I'm pretty sure my master cylinder is shot. Makes a clunk noise every time I take off from a stop. My question is will pulling the trailer cause any problems until I can get a new one?
Tough day for me, i fished main lake points, secondary points, pre-spawn banks. I threw jerkbaits, a rigs, wiggle warts, and jigs. Only fish i caught came on chunk rock secondary point on a pb&j football jig.
Haha, not there yet. Will let you know how it goes this weekend. I have open spot in boat saturday if you could make it to fish. I fish the gravois area most the time.
Coming to lake this weekend, have jerkbaits, wiggle warts, jigs, and that god awhfull Arig tied on. Hoping to find some fish for the BFL April 6. Will update how the weekend goes.
Planning on fishing friday-monday. How bad will boat traffic be and if I get up the white river will it not be as bad? I fish LOZ alot and am used to that pressure somewhat.
Thanks for the help may still come down in august. Would love to make it down in october but going into senior year of college may hinder that. During the week is boat traffic bad on the lake? I have stratos 201 pro xl, im used to LOZ traffic, but its a death trap in the summer.
Hey guys im new here and am planning on coming down to table rock to fish for the first time in 10 years. We are planning on staying 5-7 days. Where do you recomend we stay? we are not looking to spend alot but would like a place were i could leave my boat in the water. Do you recomend me hiring a guide for a day?
