I'm thinking about doing a float/camp on the Elk this weekend. I hear the smallies are great right now and I've been wanting to give it a try. I've never floated it before, so any advice would be great. How are water levels currently? Any areas you'd recommend? I'll be coming from Fayetteville, the waters are all LOW around here.
I'm meeting some buddies on Eleven Point River this weekend near Imboden and I haven't fished it in probably ten years or so. Does anybody have any advice for flies that are working good on walleye and smallmouth right now in that area?
The sidewalk hole is around the Twin Bridges boat launch? I fished War Eagle some last summer and never had much luck other than some random catfish hitting topwater... I used the paid access close to the mill, maybe I was in the wrong spot
I've only lived up here for almost 2 years, somehow I've never fished Twin Bridges. I've thought it was only boatable until recently.
Thanks, I hope I get some help. I had some trouble deciding which forum to put this in. I found some old posts about twin bridges in here so I figured I'd give it a try.
I've been scouting for some good wade in spots, since I have no boat, around Twin Bridges to fly fish. I was wondering if you guys had any advice. I know its a little early for whites, but I've heard some people have been catching walleye and crappie with flies recently. Also, never too early to scout for when it gets really good.
Has anyone ever fly fished for smallmouth at night on the Spring River? I'm going to camp this weekend for a couple of days right on the river and thought I may sling a few flies at night for the heck of it.
I'm fairly new to fishing in Northwest Arkansas and me and a couple of buddies have had a very unsuccessful past few weekends after multiple spots. We've been looking for these prime smallie fishing holes we keep hearing about and have tried the Kings at the bridge at Marble, a couple of spots along highway 21. So far, all we have caught in the Kings is a few keepers and a bunch of tiny smallmouth. Last weekend we tried War Eagle Creek and didn't catch a thing and the week before, we had very little luck in the middle fork of the White River. These waters look promising, but are we just going to the wrong spots? We are looking for some great wading spots if you could offer any help?
Thanks!
