Was fishing on the far side of the lake across from the docks around empire. Water seems to be deeper there and more timber.

Put in at empire park around 9:30 and fished until 1:00 and the fishing was fantastic! all of the fish I caught were on a pink and black road runner. I would cast to the bank and just bounce it off the bottom. Most of the strikes occured about half way back to the boat. The fish were very aggressive and put up a good fight. Lower taney is loaded with trout right now. ended up with 19 rainbow and 2 fat browns that were around 15 inches. My daughter had no problem catching her limit on power bait with chartuse being the preferred color. The biggest trout of the day was a nice 17 inch rainbow that my daughter caught on a night crawler. She enjoyed reminding me on the ride home that she had caught the biggest fish of the day Pretty much had the whole lower end of the lake to ourselves. Only saw on other boat all day. Would have stayed longer but my daughter was getting cold.

I saw that dock but did not go there because it said private. Thanks for the info lilley.

Went by the landing yesterday to dock the boat and get a bite to eat after A long day of fishing and noticed that there is no public dock. I new at one time bass pro Had one so I went to it but it was banged up pretty Good and had a no tresspass sign on it. Anybody know if there are plans To put another public dock at the landing? You think The folks at the landing would want people to come Off the water and spend money

Just now remembered my password so I will start posting reports on here about the lower tany. I have not had a chance to go since october but will be heading that way tomorrow morning. Those darn deer have been keeping me too busy to fish. I would love to see more activity on this forum about lower tany. I fish out of a pontoon so I mainly fish around empire park and about as far as I like to go is the landing. Not sure if I could make it up any farther. I have always done well fishing around the dam area so not sure why more people do not fish this part of the lake. I am taking the kids out tomorrow and putting in at empire park. I will post a report later.

I am going to spend a couple of days at empire park area in September and was wondering if my boat would make it to the landing and how long it would take. I have a 21 foot pontoon with a 90 hp 4 stroke. Sorry if this topic does not belong here, the lower tanycomo forum has not had much activity on it in a while
