  1. they are big carp. they are fun to hook and great to can .... just cut them into 1in pcs put in jars and process at 10lbs for 50 min .... makes great patties
  2. Get on MDC.com and look up fish attractors . It will show you all the places that they have put out structure. Stick to the ones that are n 15 ft or more and SLOWLY DRAG a Texas rig power worm pretty much any dark color is good. My wife and I fish there often and have great luck doing this. A friend and I were there last nite 8/25 and caught 5 keepers and countless shorts in the last hour or so of daylight.... Good luck let me Know how u do
  3. I fish the lightfoot area every once in a while but tend to keep most of my bass fishing to stockton and truman. If u get down this way before long hit me up and we'll get on some fish together. My e mail is travisloy@hotmail.com

  4. We went Saturday night . Put in at harbour and ran to lightfoot. Caught 3 keepers on steep bluffs with standing timber on 7 in power worms. Bite was slow but I think we boated around 15 fish in 6 hours.
  5. After I drove around for awhile to find minnows finally got under Nemo bridge at about 6:30 . Had my slips all set at 15 ft on the money. Caught about 4 fish in an hour that were all just legal. got tired of that and switched to a chart/white curly tail grub trolling under the bridge keeping about 20 feet of line out and caught a mess of real nice keepers.
  6. some are more difficult to operate than others and its kind of a name game between companies. Kind of like chevy and ford u have guys that like humminbirds and u have guys that like lowrance. It just depends on how much money u want to spend but mostly all u need to know is depth , water temp and if u can see a little structure that is a bonus.
  7. I fish Truman quite a bit too but only for crappie . I haven't really gone after bass there yet but my wife loves to fish the shaky head and I think I'm going to try out some of the wooded bluffs around Talley Bend right at dark. Where do u go?
  8. If it ain't broke fix it till it is

  9. I know the feeling. It is hard to find a buddy that wants to go fishing. Some days when I want to go I can't find anyone and just don't feel like loading and unloading the boat so I don't even wind up going. Where do u fish at? maybe we can hook up sometime and catch a few.
  10. Hello all!! I am new to all of this but here goes. I spent three evenings last week throwing a texas rig power worm at rocky points in 13 to 25 foot of water with a really slow presentation and have had great luck catching a few keepers and a lot of shorts . I am having trouble finding any real quality fish but the ones I have boated have been real fighters.
