Fished out of Indian point and the dam area last Thur,Fri,Sat. Two of us had 44 plus fish with 28 keepers. Mostly smallies with a few largemouths. Biggest lrg was 7lb, and smallie 3.5lb. All caught on jigs with watermelon trailers in 10-14ft in wooded areas. Most seemed to be located 1/2 way back in bays and not on the points. Great keeper ratio and all fish seemed healthy. Planning to vacation on the rock Starting Thursday and stay till Wednesday after Memorial day. Hope to get the young grandkids into bluegill or goggle eyes. Any suggestions on what to use or how deep? Will be in the dam area.

Last couple of years while fishing near point #1 On T-rock we have noticed a large flock of white birds flying around the area. They seem to be the size of pigeons or a little larger. probably a flock of 20-25 birds. Tried looking them up in birds books to no avail. Does anyone have any idea what type of birds these are? They are not gulls and they do not land in water, only on land. Have only seen them in the point #1 area. Any info would be appreciated.

Had four boats fishing the rock out of Indian point this past Sat-Tues. Real slow. found most fish at 16- 18' levels on zoom Fries, 8" lizards, Eakins jigs. fished from Cow to Long creek and didn't seem to make much difference where you found fish. Did not mark many fish on the long p-gravel points. Seemed like most fish disappeared. Keeper ratio was about 50% with all smallies except 2 largemouths. Also most fish were close to wood and about 1/2 back of points.
