  1. Welcome to KCK
  2. I think the winner actually had a smaller rack, but I didn't get a great look at him.
  3. Went fishing early this morning and heard two bucks fighting, this was the loser. http://bigcreekfly.tumblr.com/
  4. Never proclaim how gigantic your buddy's fish is until it's in the net. "THAT FISH WAS HUGE, I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU LET IT GET AWAY"
  5. "Continuing with our weekly update on the new products that RIO is introducing for 2013, here's a sneak peak at the new "Power Fly" fly line. This new line replaces the old Clouser line, with taper improvements and DualTone technology."
  6. Rio renamed the clouser line, if you go on their facebook page they have a write up about it.
  7. A big portion of the '47%' are senior citizens, and the rest are not all unemployed, but the working poor. And just because those 47% don't pay Federal Income Taxes doesn't mean they don't pay ANY taxes. The point being, portraying half the country as parasites is a bit misguided.
  8. Considering the CPI was less than 2% last month, they should start printing faster.

  10. I feel Romney won in the fact that Obama gets caught up in going into way too much detail. The average American doesn't want to hear an explanation of supply side economics they just want to know if their taxes are going to increase. Romney won because he played Santa Claus. The president should've pressed him on how exactly you can lower taxes and dump a ton MORE money into national defense all the while somehow magically lowering the deficit. Romney's answer is lower taxes on job creators create jobs which leads to a larger revenue base. But if that were true, considering how low taxes ALREADY are, we should be drowning in jobs. This conservative idea of supply side economics only works in a textbook vacuum. His entire premise is the same scam that got people into sub-prime mortgages, the idea that I'll buy things today in the hopes that I'll be making more money tomorrow.
  11. Have you tried the SA Titan Taper? Figured since you like throwing triples that you'd be all over that.
  12. Stupid question but how hard is it to remove the rope fly after beaching the monster?
  13. That's bananas. I don't get why the reps would tell people it was a production shortage or why they'd even stop making them in the first place. If it's winter, bootfoot > stocking foot.
  14. The one positive that boot foot waders offer is they will keep your feet MUCH warmer if you plan on winter fishing. There's a reason Simms Bootfoots were sold out in every store on earth over the winter.
  15. What's you typical line/sinktip/leader setup for throwing big streamers (brand, weight, length)?
  16. Hopefully no one's on dialup. If for some reason that doesn't work, I also posted them on: http://bigcreekfly.blogspot.com/2012/09/ozarkanglers-forum-brown-swap.html -Bob
  17. Got mine today and took quick and dirty pics of em all. Will post em shortly. -Bob
  18. I'm surprised how popular heavily dressed articulated flies are compared to intruder styles for browns/smallmouth. You can get a big profile in a fly that's much easier to cast as well as a faster and more economical tie. But the downside being the loss of the jigging action.
  19. Yeah, the direction of this thread isn't exactly what I was "shooting" for. Sorry, couldn't help myself.
  20. They're starting to go up on ebay at cheaper than retail but higher than BQA.
  21. My intent is protection from wild animals (hogs, bears, mountain lions, moose etc). Obviously the other option is bear spray, but in reading polls on other forums and posts, a lot of people bring up the fact of trusting in the canister working, accidentally spraying yourself, as well as having to worry about wind.
  22. I just did purchase a Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack that someone had recommended on here. I haven't had a chance to take it out yet but it seemed to cover all the bases as well as be ccw compatible. For $72 shipped seemed like a no brainer. Now I'm on looking at what I'm actually going to carry, hence the thread.
