I think I'll keep it, and, luckely I'm not married so I don't have to worry about the destruction rained upon me for not using a coaster. I'd be a dead man. Time to refinish. Thanks about the comment about crackling. I don't think I'll use them. Cool to have in the racks though.. Thanks all.

Thought I'd try loading a picture.

I picked up a new Heddon 310 in the box with catalog and all. Never used. I think it was out of the box to get line on it and that's all. Also got a Heddon Pal Mk II rod in the tube with the plastic still on the cork. I flyfish, so I know I have something very cool but just how cool is it? I don't want to hold on to something someone else will seriously appreciate. Is it something truly collectable or is it something I hold onto for the coolness factor? Any information is appreciatted.
