Thanks for the info. My old Hooptie would love to ride the rough trail to Love's Cabin. She thrives on adventure. So any info is appreciated. I think the access is off YY between Babtist and Parker by Julia's old horse stable. As for the fishing I will take your advice and fish Babtist up to the cable.

Going down on Monday to cool off and fish. Has anyone caught fish at Parker ? Have they migrated up stream enough that I should fish and camp closer to Babtist. Any info is appreciated. I would hate to set up camp - fish - move and reset camp. Where is the road that goes to Loves Cabin, I have seen vehichles on the river between Babtist and Parker. There must be some way down there.

We floated Tan Vat to Ceder Grove in Kyacks on Thursday. We were very light and had many areas that even a kyack had to be drug. Water is very low. Fishing was great T.V. up to the park. Caught 38 (Gerald Ford) on small repallas. GF caught 10 (John Tyler) including a monster.

I would say that fish is only 2# and 8" he must be holding it close to the camera. HA HA

The park at Montauk still has camping sites in the fall, but the shower houses are closed for the winter. There shouldn't be anyone around.

What is the status of Westover Farm Trout Ranch. The last I had heard it was up for auction, or had been auctioned off. This was always a great place to bring the kids.

Brousing through the recent posts I noticed a great deal of you all praying for rain. Why is this the case. It seems to me that with lower river levels the trout would be more concentrated and easier to locate. Looking at the radar it seems likely for a good downpour. Should I be planning my trip for the day of, the day after, or a couple of days after?

I just started fly fishing this year and have had limited success. Would like some stream side assistance, but can't afford a guide at this time. Thinking of going to Tan Vat on Friday 9-23. Should be there about 6-6:30am. If anybodt is around and would like to give me a few pointers it would be appreciated.
