  1. Anyone have any tips on how to catch goggle eye from the Buffalo River? I'm going canoeing there this Friday and Saturday (4-13 and 4-14). We are hoping to catch some to fry up at camp. We will be floating from Pruitt to Hasty on Friday and Steel Creek to Kyles Landing on Saturday (Water permitting). I've caught a few goggle eye in the past when smallmouth fishing there. Is there one bait better than another? What should I look for as in cover for them to hide in? I may also do a little wading if I can stand the water temps. Live bait? Plastics? Jigs? Can you even use live bait on the Buffalo? If so where do you get some near Jasper? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  3. Going to Pomme the weekend of the 15th this month. Havent been since 2006. Going with a bunch of guys from work who want to catch some crappie. I have never crappie fished down there. Any help as to where or how to catch some would be greatly appreciated. Also, would the square-bill bite be on for bass at that time??? Thanks.
