I'm throwing mine on 50lb green braid and pausing for 5 to 10 seconds before i reeled in. Are you using the green or white braid? Did you pause any on the bluffs? Just wondered, now i know why my shoulders were a little sore the next day. Throwing the rig made fishing kinda fun again when the bite is so difficult at times. You definitely have to use a med/heavy rod.

I'm the new guy here but I've fished the Kings from the marina up to Fish and Fun the last few weeks. I've been waiting for the bass to go crazy in the shallows but I've caught them with a chrome spoon jigging in the middle of shad. Probaly nothing new to you guys buy i did throw a Alabama rig thursday for the first time with swim jigs on it and caught 7 in 4 hours off channel bluffs. That's quite a setup, can't wait to change some of the baits and see what happens. Good fishin
