  11. Welcome Perchjerker! I used to get out on Lake Michigan now and then when I lived up that way also but mostly fished the Rivers for Smallmouths. Have you tried the Smallie fishing on the Fox, DuPage, Kankakee, Apple or Kishwaukee Rivers up that way?

  18. Congratulations on the new addition to the family. I bet that it was love at first site and then holding that little guy pretty much did you in. You are going to love having him around and watching him grow.
  19. Meatball Sandwiches are Diet Food.
  20. I used to fish for Smallies on the rivers back in Illinois. Just looked at my old stomping grounds website and see that one of the guys got a very nice Smallie on a Top Water Plug this weekend. Welcome to OAF.
  21. Some people believe themselves to be more important then they really are. This Guide is one who appears to think this way. I have met a few guides in my lifetime and most have been very good people. However, ignorant people are around in ever walk of life and every profession. The best think is to have an oversized boat partner to talk to these people.
  22. Like to thank Phil for the Web Site to begin with and thank everyone that came out today for making this the success that it was. We had a good deal of great dishes and the conversation flowed easily among the members. I love these get togethers where you can share knowledge and experience with others that share a love of the outdoors and fishing. I was the Chicagoland Regional Coordinator for the Illinois Smallmouth Alliance before moving down to Missouri and I miss that part of my life just a little because I got to setup the outings for the year. I also started the Wed. Night Smallie Hunters too just to get people together and enjoying fishing and some great conversation. This was a good time and we should do it again. Maybe not so much eating and more fishing.
  23. Here is the recipe for the Meatballs you all wanted. Glad you liked them. This recipe lends itself to using other meats also such as Boneless Pork Steaks or even Stew meat and served over Buttered Noodles for Supper. I make the full recipe and then freeze it in small containers for a quick meal or a lunch. Meatball Sandwiches 1 Pkg. 160 Count Rosina Italian Meatballs 2 28oz. Cans Rotell Tomatoes with Green Chili’s 1 16oz. Jar Pizza Sauce 1 8oz. can Tomato Paste 1 16oz. Can Tomato Sauce 2 Banana Peppers Chopped (Optional) Black Peppercorns to taste Crushed Red Pepper to taste Garlic Pepper to taste In a large Crock-pot place the meatballs and all other ingredients and mix together. Set Crock-pot on low to medium and let this mixture cook all morning about 4-5 hours stirring occasionally to prevent burning or hot spots. This is good to make ahead and freeze in small amounts for fast suppers or lunches. The Optional Banana Peppers and a little zip to it.
  24. Welcome to Ozark Anglers Forum. It is a nice place with a lot of room for learning and teaching.
