  1. I like the shiners alive but the other two dont matter. If they are too long ill cut them in half.
  2. If you cant catch catfish from kerr to galena then you cant catch them. One of my favorite holes is just above kerr though.
  3. https://www.google.com/search?redir_esc=&client=ms-android-verizon&hl=en-US&safe=images&oe=utf-8&q=hl+kerr+access&source=android-browser-suggest&qsubts=1428590202247&devloc=0# by the water it's about 5.5 miles above galena.
  4. Yeah its about a mile above Taylor shoal. Nice little float should be able to catch fish all the way down especially when you start getting to the bluffs.
  5. We should. They are still catching them around walnut springs and point 15.
  6. Yeah they are all over the james not many big ones but tons of good eaters. You can see big schools of them while floating in the summer just look down lol.
  7. We had the game wardens down there this weekend and they didnt have a problem with atvs or our trucks. Blunks is kind of a grey zone.
  8. They shut off when it got good and dark this evening but just before dark was pretty good.
  9. Pretty much lol.
  10. Pick a spot. I like deep pools below fast water in the upper river. Best baits are sucker minnows, grasshoppers, cut shad and river shiners. If you can't throw a cast net learn how they are worth their weight in gold.
  11. They should be getting close if the river comes up again I bet they will be there.
  12. Idk about the whites I didn't see any caught yesterday.
  13. There was a man cleaning a few at Hooten Town yesterday idk how far he had to run down to find them but they are on their way if the river comes up a few more times they may make it.
  14. Probably be a waste of time for spoonbill unless the water comes back up. Fishing was really slow there yesterday.
  15. When was that?
  16. I have pics but Photobucket and tapatalk dont work for me.
  17. It's still a little brown but it is dropping fast. I walked back up to Taylor Shoal and caught 2 and 2 more popped off. A guy at the ramp said he saw some people cleaning a few at Hooten Town today.
  18. We're having trouble tracking them down today I think they are between Blunks and Galena right now.
  19. 3-4 miles maybe a little more. Walnut Springs is about half way between. Blunks has a decent ramp too.
  20. Its still up and will be for a few days.
  21. Taylor Shoal was the place to be today my group caught 24.
  22. You could but they were catching them at Blunks at 11:00 last night and a little above so I doubt they have made the 25 mile run to Shelvin yet.
  23. Debatable. But there are probably more whites caught every year on an 1/8oz white roostertail and Swimming Minnows then anything.
  24. They're picking up a few at Blunks tonight.
  25. Im sitting in McCord Bend waiting on them. Blunks should be good tonight or tomorrow if you can find a spot.
