  2. Aint no fish at Taylor's!! Just stay home lol.
  3. Water's a little dirty for night fishing. We caught a few below Blunks last night. Guys throwing A Rigs were doing pretty good.
  4. Hope the water dont come up.
  5. I would go down and fish the rock banks or the flats just across from them.
  6. I was down there for about an hour fishing off the rocks with no luck. We left and went back to the bend and caught 24 mostly big males and a few good sows.
  7. Yep. Bites been kind of slow and mostly in the morning and evening. It took two of us to make a limit last night mostly big males and a few sows. We were both throwing A Rigs.
  8. Water is a little dirty lots of small trash and moss coming down yesterday.
  9. Yeah but they are all above the fish right now. Camp Harlow (Shoals Motel) and the old Y bridge in galena. You should be able to get some around Blunks this weekend. I would head down river from the ramp to the bluffs theres a trail in the corner of the upper parkinglot that runs along the river.
  10. Still a little early for the shoal try down stream on the chunk rocks.
  11. The bite was pretty much non existent this evening lots of boats between Blunk and McCord and no one was catching.
  12. Yes the ramp and parking area at the end of Blunk road is what everyone refers to as Blunks. The gravel bar at the end of blunk trails is Taylor Shoal.
  13. I fished out of my canoe last night and did ok and again this morning but they were pretty tight lipped. Im gonna go again this evening if it warms up a bit.
  14. Fished below blunks this evening and caught a few dinks. I bet you could get on some around walnut springs.
  15. They're in the james as far as McCord Bend they just aint biting. I saw 3-4 snagged yesterday by spoonbillers.
  16. Crossroads has purple but they are out of 1/16 oz heads.
  17. I wasn't talking about the ramp road. There use to be a way down to the shoal if you took the last left on blunk road but the owners gated it off.
  18. Its up moving fast and muddy.
  19. If you're talking about Blunks you gotta go from the parkinglot they gated off the other road a few years ago.
  20. Give it another week or so.
  21. I like a 1/64 jig with a silver chenille body and light grey tail with a couple pieces of crystal flash.
  22. Hes talking about Taylors Shoal. It is up above the ramp about a half mile or so you will need a 4x4 or a boat to get up there or you can hoof it but its a long walk carrying fish back.
  23. I usually use 9/0 and big green sunfish especially if im targeting flathead. The deep water can be productive when the lake starts heating up around mid to late summer. At night big catfish come up shallow to feed if you're gonna be daytime fishing you may need to try deeper or good cover. If you are going to be here early to mid june the fish should be either pre spawn or on the nest so the creek and river arms should be your main focus.
  24. They should be spawning at that time. I would try creek arms around chunk rocks, timber and steep banks your best bait will probably be cut shad and live green sunfish or bluegill.
  25. My guess would be 1/16 oz head super slow retrieve maybe one of these days ill make it out and see lol
