Look at the 20hp Nissan. My brother bought one off Internet shipped to his door. Electric start runs good him in a 1542 WE he can keep up with my 25hp 2 stroke Yamaha on a riveted Lowe with 2 people. I would get prop with Jackplate.

Look into Turneffe Flats Belize. Great flats fishing mostly fly fishing oriented.

I have one. Pro's lets the motor slide on gravel shoals keeping the skeg from digging into bottom. Does deflect some gravel from going thru prop. Con's drastically reduces efficiency of prop. Causes disturbance of water flow cavitation. does NOT protect prop from rock strike. First day I had it broke blade off 4 blade solas very upset at that one. River runner caused motor to turn catching blade on rock side of down stroke. Moss hangs up more easily in motor. Acts as shovel if trying to lift motor out of mud, sand, moss etc... Catches branches between prop and guard. I would not buy another and take it off most of the time. Go slow. I think jack plate would be better investment to raise motor.

Hello everyone. I am from the flatlands, raised in Osceola ar fishing and swimmin in the big muddy. First time I ever fished White River was in '92 @ buffalo shoals caught a 17" rainbow on a silver kastmaster with white bucktail. Threw it back thinking it was small because I had worked a summer in college at The Ramble House in Creede CO and to get on their wall of fame had to be 19" fish. Anyways been fishin the white ever since. Now I live in Bryant AR and look forward to every chance i get to come visit the cold clear waters and throw back some fish and beer.
