Well guys I still haven't made it down to Bennett yet this year. But I did go out west to Estes Park Colorado last week and caught my first fish on a fly! It was an 11" Brown that I caught on a Jujubee Midge #20, I was fishing the Big Thompson River! I am definitely HOOKED on fly fishing! Pun intended!!! Fellas! I am new to the forum and fairly new to the sport of fly fishing! I am wanting to take a couple days and head down to Bennett Springs in late April. I have never been down there and like I said before I am fairly new to fly fishing, so my question is this. Is late April a good time to go as far as being crowded? I am planning on going a couple days during the week and avoiding the weekend rush, but I want to stay out of other peoples way while I work to fine tune the art of fly fishing. Can anybody point me in a direction to go that would be somewhat private but still have a decent opportunity to catch fish? Or should I be looking at another time frame to go in?
