Sorry to hijack the thread that was not my intention. I was just commenting about how the one person said they like to use 6lb clear test for whites so I thought it valid to mention that I went out for LM and caught a TON of whiteson 65LB braid and had a complete blast and it was very fun. Sorry to make someone angry..I guess having fun is not what fishing is about anymore?

I caught about 18 slab Whites last weekend in on main channel bluffs in 20-25 FOW trolling the Umbrella Rig. I was using 65# braid. I was targeting LM but the whites started biting and just didn't stop...made about 8 to 10 passes up the exact same 500yd bluff over the course of 3 or 4 hours and just slayed them. I had a blast using the A Rig..(this was my first time out with it.) I had one double which was really cool and caught a monster 19" white as well. Also caught 3 or 4 keeper LM and my partner caught a 5lb LM using the "Crappie A rig" Great trip...lots of fun...all LM were released..all Whites were given a hot grease bath later that night.
