If you decide to go the motel route, Ed & Kay @ Springview Fly Shop as well as Larry @ Larry's Sporting Goods both keep a few rooms open throughout the winter.
I personally always stay in my 5th wheel when I winter fish, but only becuase it is located not a mile from the park year round. If I didn't have a perm site, I agree with the others in that it is just as cheap to stay in a motel.

I catch fish all year long at Bennett on the same ole stuff. Size 12 Crackleback's, Olive/Brown/Ginger Willies and Renegades. Whatever you catch them on in the summer will work equally as well (or quite often better) in the winter months.

I am going to be at Tanney next week and was curious as to what/when and how many gates they have been generating lately? I will be down on either Wednesday or Thursday of next week.
Thanks,
Jr
I have been reading this forum for several months, but trout fishing at Bennett and Tanney for many years. I plan on making a day trip to Tanney next Wednesday (the 25th) or Thursday (the 26th.) Also, I will be staying at our place near Bennett from the 25th through Nov 1. If anyone would like to meet up and wet a line, please let me know.

I caught about a 5.5lb brown about 2 weeks ago and usually catch at least 1 or 2 every trip. I am typically there every Tuesday and Wednesday and have noticed the browns hit better when there is not as many people around.
