  1. There is a stream/ creek I'd like to fish in St. Louis County, but I don't want to trespass. There is access from the road. Could someone guide me towards the state regulations. It does go through some high priced area of the county.

  3. I agree with Flier. Looked at both hardy and sage. Went with sage one #5. it was down to opinion. Not sure what weight you're looking for but check out Yellowstoneangler.com , they have great info on different weight shootouts. Price, color, how it casts in a parking lot, name brand etc., don't matter as much as how it handles to your liking and on the water. Just an opinion
  4. I ended up getting a Galvan Torque/T6 from t. Hargroves. I liked the drag system on my other ones. Put S. Angler wf5f line on. It sure does handle well on the new Sage One 590-4. It's already put a hurtin on dozens of fish at Montauk(not to mention wallet). it only took 1.5 years to save a little here and there on gift certs.
  5. Im new to posting on here, but have been a lurker for a few months. I recently purchased a new 5 wt and now I'm looking to purchase a reel. I thought finding the rod was a difficult one. What do you base it on? Price? reviews? looks? drag? It's not like you can test a reel, like a fly rod( and which is limeted also) Any suggestions? or web sites. I can go by the recommondation of the local fly shop and although I do trust them; I'm still a little weary. Do you order on line to save on sales tax? KInda crazy I guess.
