went to benett with a buddy sunday. started in zone 2 where the chute dumps out in the main river. we just wanted to get a feel on some stockers. as always it was a crowded hole with everyone wading out too deep so we hooked a few behind these waders and decided to go for some bigger trout went up to the ledge and went out on it. caught several rainbows in the 12-16" range on various patterns fishing about 2 ft deep. noticed rainbows jumping the ledge.(have never seen that before) my buddy claimed he had about a 4-5 lb brown on but it spit because he had a late hook set. we both decided to take a quick break. after thawing out, we went upstream toward the spring. caught several more rainbows in the 12-16" range. did happen to see a bruiser brown cruising upsteam(he was about 150 yards down from the spring when i saw him) wouldnt stay still long enough to get a good drift. i did see him chasing a stocker bow around. we worked our way back down stream catching a few here and there. id say the biggest fish i landed was about a 17 inch rainbow. not the best trip i have been on but i dont think anybody did that well down there. i probably ended up with about 40 fish landed and twice that many missed hook sets and my buddy had a few less i landed 2 small browns and i think he landed 1. decent fishing trip but that wind had a bite to it as it didnt seem to get above 45-50 degrees

work over fishing?? you need to get your priorities straight kansas fly fisher jk. leonard just let me know if i get in your way. i dont want to spook your tagged fish(you know:the ones that only have your name on them). go cardinals

my brother and myself(was known as albright 3 on this sight) are going down to do some night fishing(and daytime fishing of course). didnt know if anyone wanted to join. Leonard, maybe you can show us a thing or 2 or maybe i can just do you a favor and remove all the dinks out so you can catch your big brown of the night . i was supposed to fish with you a while back but your kid was sick. anyway, anybody gonna be down between 10/31 and 11/01
