Bass pro in springfield has a bin full wiggle warts, different colors and sizes $3.29/each. There went that 20 bucks...

Hey guys, I'm a car dealer in Springfield and have recently been buying some trade in's from Bass Pro here in Springfield. The good thing about the boats that they trade for is that before they will trade for one the customer has to drop off the boat and their tech's go through it and check everything out. If the boat isn't lake ready, they won't take it on trade. They do compression checks, put it in the pool and run it, make sure all the electronics work, etc... So, theres a little background story, here's the specs on the boat.... 1987 ThunderBolt 16' Bass boat with 75hp Merc. 55lb thrust Minnkota trolling motor and 2 Eagle fish finders. This boat is in great shape for its age. Comes with everything you see in the pictures. Carpet and seats are in good shape. Trailer has good tires. 2 fully charged batteries. Boat is ready to go. I have titles to the boat, motor and trailer. feel free to call or text me @ 417-224-3690 with any questions. $3000 buys it all. Also, I'm in the process of buying 2 more boats from them and should have them by the end of the week. A 2002 18'6" Triton with a 90hp Merc that will be $7800 and a 1989 18' Astro with a 150hp Black Max that will be $4500. I'll try to post some pics of them when I can.

Put in about noon on Sunday and fished until 4. Water temp was 41. Only one short and a couple small bass. Fished same swimming minnows in the same spots we've been catching them in the past couple of weekends. Water temp was 47 the past couple of weekends though, and down to 41 on Sunday.

I am a dealer. I'll give him a title app too. And if there is a spot on the MSO for the price we can put it on there too. -

I'll give him a bill of sale with the purchase price on it. He will have to pay about 7% sales tax so around $400. -

Just picked up the title today. Actually it's an MSO. And correct, no harness or controls -
I bought this motor from Bass Pro Shops in Springfield. It came off a blem boat that they scrapped due to some weather damage. The motor was unharmed. It has never been in the water and comes with warranty. The motor is at my shop in Springfield. I do not have a prop for it. What you see in the pictures is all I have. $5800 buys it. Give me a call if you are interested @ 417-224-3690.

This is nothing Josh hasn't been reporting for the past couple of weeks. Went down to the James Sunday and fished/fought the wind, caught 23 keeps and about 12 shorts in 8-15 foot of water on swimming minnows. No whites, did catch a few small bass and a turtle. One thing I love about the James is that you almost always accidentally catch something strange. I've snagged gar, carp, spoonbill, turtles....caught catfish on rooster tails.. wierd stuff like that. It was a windy day, but a good one...

If captain Joe doesn't buy it, I will. Just PM me.... -
Anybody know how muddy the water is in the Cape fair area? Was going to go Sunday and throw a jerkbait around, but if the water is dirty I'm not sure if I'm wasting my time or not. Let's be real, most times when I lake fish it's a waste of time lately....Any other suggestions are welcome.

by Mapquest it looks like you take 248 west from Galena to the crossroads. Turn Left there on 173 (south) and then a left on Walnut Springs Rd. I've never been there, only Blunks. But would like to check it out
-
Yep, up in the James mid March or so the whites will be there. Probably the most popular spot is the Blunks access in Galena.

I'm from the Nixa area so I'm not REAL familiar with whats close to you. I would think that the Finley would be your best bet. It starts at Lindenlure I believe, which is maybe a 30 min drive from Marshfield??? There has been a big to-do about Lindenlure and whether or not its public. Use to be there would be alot of people down there swimming in the summers, now I'm not so sure. If I were you I'd drive on down to the ozark park and paddle up river and float back down to your vehicle. I caught some good largemouth there in the park area last year. I mostly fish the James in the nixa area. Thats prob 45min-1hour drive for you. Delaware town access and Shelvin rock access being the main access points. You could also hit I-44 east up to Lebanon and hit the Niangua. Bennett Springs is big time trout waters, but down river there is some good smallie fishing. It gets a pretty good party crowd in the summer on weekends though. There may be good water closer to you that I don't know about, if so hopefully someone will chime in. Hit me up if you go, I'm always looking for someone to go fishing with! Unfortunatley I have this nasty disease called WORK that only allows me to fish on the weekends :/

This is awesome. Anybody put a gigging boat in there yet? If so, can you get up or down river very far right now?

Pm sent

Truck still for sale?
-
Taking my 9 year old nephew on his first float/fish this weekend on the Niangua. Originally had plans to float/camp/float, but it being his first time I think we will just float down to the truck and camp. I've heard Prosperine on down is less crowded and better fishing. Anybody know of a campground 5-7 miles down from there? Or have a better suggestion? Im up for about anything. You guys know that river better than I do I'm sure. Any help is appreciated.

I can't believe you guys that claim to be mizzou fans can seriously get on here and rip on Gary Pinkle. What was mizzou football before him??? If he retired tomorrow he would be the greatest coach in the history of Mizzou. Somebody posted that they shoul have gone out an gotten a big time coach with the move to the SEC. Who?? Just exactly who would you like to get that is better?? Yes, he will need to keep the in state talent better than he has. But, being in the big 12, he went for the Texas kids. That's a lot bigger pool. The ones that UT and A&M didn't want, he got. And I'd say it worked out pretty well for him. Multiple first round NFL draft picks have come out of mizzou in the past few years. The DGB get is HUGE for recruiting. More good kids are going to want to come play at mizzou if he and they have a good year. And for the James Franklin haters, if they go 8-4 like many predict, he will be on the preseason heisman short list for 2013.

Never caught a drum in the James. That's not to say they aren't in there. I'd say they are carp or gar. But I'm sure you'd know if they were gar. Assuming they are carp, I have no idea how to catch one. I actually caught one down by blunks a couple months ago on a rebel craw. But I'm pretty sure it was dumb luck. It was fun though, fought like crazy on an ultralight. Got it up to the bank 3 times and it would take off back out into the river. Had a rookie with me that wouldn't touch it so the next time I got it to the bank I gave him my rod and ran out and grabbed it. 4.5 to 5 footer. Wasn't gna lose a lure to a carp. Anyway, if I saw a bunch of them schooling I'd say your best bet would be a big ole treble hook with some weight and if you hook into one, hang on!

I haven't fished the spfld lake area in years, so I can't help much. But you may check out the spfld lake board, some people have been posting about catching some cats down by the Dam I think. -
I apologize in advance if this is a retarded question....but what exactly is a "fast bank"?
