I just moved to Branson and I been fishing on Taneycomo by the landing. Now everyone has told me there are a lot of trout around there but no luck yet. I love to fish for bass and a gentleman stopped me today and told me that Turkey Creek has tons of bass. Just wondering if anyone has fished there and if so what did you catch? Thanks

Can you access the James from Cox Ford Rd or is it private access?

I'm thinking about doing a small float and fish trip from kerr to JRO early tomorrow. Has anyone fished around there recently? I usually do well in that area but haven't been in a few weeks. If anyone has passed through there recently could you please let me know how you did? Thanks

I just made that trip. We floated Hootentown to the Blunks in Galena. Amazing fishing trip, we caught over 50 smallmouth and a few largemouth. We stopped counting after 50. All were released for later catching. We did have to walk the canoe a few times but it was worth it.

It might have been. It was loud like a bumble bee and there were tons of them right near the kerr access area.

Just got back from my trip and it was awesome except for having these big and loud fly/bee things diving at my head for about 2 hours last night. Those things were annoying. Anyone know what they could be? Don't think they were bees because I was never stung and they showed up at dusk. Besides that, fishing was incredible. Caught tons of smallmouth and a few largemouth. All fish returned to there home so y'all can catch too. Saw a bunch of spoonbill too, I've never seen one before so it was pretty cool.

Hey y'all I'm going on a 2 day float from Hootentown to Blunk Rd. in Galena and was wondering if I can camp anywhere on the river or can I even camp at all on the river. This is my first overnight trip so just wondering and how's the fishing on this stretch. I floated Hootentown to JRO last year in one day and didn't have to much time for fishing so this year I'm taking my time. Thanks.

Has anyone ever floated the James north of Delaware Town? I was going to check out where Wilson Creek and the James meet. I plan on fishing there tomorrow and I'm probably going to float on down to Delaware. Is it safe and is it floatable? Thanks

Yeah they were long and slender. I don't know anything about gar. Do people fish for them?

Hey everyone. I floated the Finley today from the route 13 bridge to the James River and I kept seeing these brownish fish splashing around and they were big too! There were tons of bass and huge catfish everywhere but these tan fish looked different. Could anyone tell me what they are? I don't know to much about the different kinds of fish in this area. I know how to catch bass and that seems to be it but I'm cool with that. It would be nice to catch something else every once in a while though. Thanks.

Yeah I saw that boat twice this year. Earlier this spring it was trapped under a tree and the other day it was just sitting out in the open. I was wondering what was up with it myself.

Hi everyone. I went fishing yesterday around 11am on the James south of Delaware and caught several small mouth and 2 large mouth bass. I took out my fishing raft and floated down to Shelvin Rock. I caught all my fish on a watermelon plastic worm. I passed by that Blue Hole and was wondering if thats a good fishing spot?
