What about Norfork River resort ? It looks like a big place but they have a dock to fish from in the evenings.

In the next few weeks I am planning a trip to the Norfork - Cotter area for a day of trout fishing [spin or fly] and a day of golfing. What is the best mid priced lodge to stay at on the river so I can fish off the bank or dock in the evening ? Also do you guys have any guide with a boat you would recommend for a day on the river, I would like to keep the guide around $200.00 for a days fishing if possible, I figured with the tip it would be around $ 250.00 ? Gavin and awhuber thanks for the great info. . Your sale price of Westover may be accurate. I have Tryon's book it does have a lot of good info.. I live 120 miles north of St. Louis and I am looking for some land as close as possible to my home , Steeleville is about 4 1/2 hours. But I would consider farther.

Yea I saw where it was listed for sale again. The sale price should be a matter of public record at the county courthouse. I just thought someone around here might have heard what it brought. I would guess around 2.5 to 3 million. 2 brothers out of St. Louis bought it. I heard Wind Rush is for sale also at about 5 million. Those prices have to many zeros for me ! Mitch F, I see your interests are the same as mine. I would like to purchase a small farm in southern MO. with a live spring creek and some trout fishing or the possibility of that, just trying to figure out a fair price per acre. I am a farm land owner in west central IL. , but the land market is different up here. Thanks

Why not the Willow springs area ?

Does anyone know of a good realator around Willow Springs , MO. that has some knowledge of trout fishing and the trout fishing properties available in that area ? I am thinking about relocating to the Willow Springs area from West Central, IL. and would like to find 5 to 50 acres on or near a trout stream and within 15 minutes of a golf course to build a cabin or small home. Thanks in advance !
