  1. My youngest is in 3rd yr of college, is close enough to home she can come back on wkends & breaks, but of course she is oh to quickly wanting to spend her time with her friends, thus creating "empty nest" (nest # 1) I am fortunate enough to live in a rural area with lots of farm ponds/ lakes & get to fish many of them.( I suppose I am fishing so much to keep "empty nest syndrome" at bay.) this spring while out @ my favorite bass pond, I look down at my feet to discover goose nest w/ 2 eggs. (nest # 2) no wonder the geese (canadian) were going nuts, I had walked right over it without noticing. found another pond on same property & brought the boat down for better access. ( We stock the ponds in return for permission to fish.) so before the weeds got too bad, I scoped out the shore line & was stunned to see how many "fish nests" there were! the perimeter of the lake was thick with them. (#3) have had great luck at this pond, bass & bluegill. so far some big bass, but I release most of them, unless I'm hungry for fish. It is so nice to be able to fish these places where the noisest thing is the bluejays, & squirrels & the view is perfection. I can't imagine life without fishing, & the peace I derive from sitting in the boat with a line in the water. even when my reel tangles or I get hung up in the brush, it's better than anything else I can imagine. of course it's better when my daughter goes with me, but she always catches more & bigger fish than me. ah, life is good.
