I seem to have good luck from big m down to the backbone lots of spots in the trees gills also my brother pulled in a 3.2 gill several short eyes i brought one keep eye 28 in and 2 cats all on dropshot or bottom c-rig live crawler but their big boats makes it hard to stay snag free but from sec... points out past 30 ft they bite off and on all day like a rollercoaster fishin ride ..........! First fall you prick if i am sitting on fish then me and my kids did better then your stupid butt and found fish take your attitude on down the lake and don't ruin my kids outlook on fishermen move to where you think you and your education and experience should tell you where the winning fish are or ask my 6 and 7 year old who obviously can out fish your butt any day where the fish are because they and my self have every right to all the lake and we do our homework and have fun we make a living the American way and fishing is a sport not a job you stupid excuse for a role model O.P and family
I put in big m sat at 7 tossed warts ( original) onchunck to gravel slopes got a few only one keeps moved on to spinner on wind blown points every one that looked good hard hitin but dinks non the less worked my way to 39 bridge and jack pot 20 plus on drop shot 4 in dingr watermelonseed and powerbait minnow pain in the foot to stay on the collums but worth it 4 keeps but my live well airater went out on my ancient basscat so i released them all nothin in back of bays on jig but i ain't as good with the jig as some of yawl surprised to see them still suspended in 20 to40 ft but the bite is getting better tossed the Alabama rig with smallest swim baits i could get they keep hitting the dummy ones could not hook up ran into an old timer and he suggested adding inline spinnear on the outsides and they would hit the swimbaits kudos to that fine man surefire idea got my first bamba bite 2 keepers 1-2 lbs each . Rigged it with wildeye swim baits and white roostertails water temp 59 to 62.4 good luck to you all and thanks to all willing to share O.P
Cut about a 2ft sec of line off tie on a swivel attach section, i use clinch not, (wet the line before tightening) then tie on hook using palomar knot leaving tag end, attach sinker on tag end about a ft below the hook adjust the distance as needed. There is a drop shot hook with a swivel built into it i had some and they work well.good luck
Had a good day me and the wife caught a boat load of k,s with about a dozen keeps most on drop shot live crawler shallow bite didn't happen for me, most were caught in 20,-30fow water temp 72-73
