I know Elk River above Noel gets lots of traffic . Our group (getting long in tooth now) thought we might do a weekend float from Noel to 43 bridge. Probably in June. Will we run into much traffic? Enough water to keep from dragging? Gravel bars for camp? Would appreciate any info and experience you can share. Thanks

Two best trips I had on Spring River were on July 5th and Jan 5th. Several years ago. You can catch them any time. I have been skunked a bunch as well.

I have a fairly small Jon boat and like to fish some of the coves without hitting main lake. I see three hills (believe that's the name) and greaser creek have ramps. Can a person launch on these ramps? Thanks for your help.

Head up Spring River from twin bridges about a mile. Try Shad Raps. No 5 my choice. Silver my best color. Troll and find Some fish. Use jigs, spoons or rattle traps and work area. Good luck
