  1. Had 37 boats for the first one
  2. $50 entry fee plus $10 membership fee
  3. Yes they are open to all. 7p-1am. Usually they are there around 5pm taking entries. Fished the first one and it was a good time. Can't make this one but will be there for the one on 6/10. Good luck!
  4. Fished both days as well and the Friday Nighter too. Fish were up shallow in the bushes early and in the evening....caught them on topwater in front of the bushes. On Saturday i stayed away from the bushes and focused out in 10-15 fow. Sunday morning caught some on a bladed jig in front of the bushes and happened to be in a pocket that had some bushes with 2-3 fow in them and started to flip them and caught some 14" fish...fished the flat side of the pocket and caught keepers right on the bank around some laydowns...soon as the bladed jig hit the water they were on it...didn't last long but fun for a hour or so. All main lake pockets from darn to state park marina
  5. What time does registration start? Will be down there Friday through Sunday and was thinking about fishing it. Thanks!!
  6. Are there any marinas in either direction that have restaurants on the water? Will be fishing in that area the next 3 days and was looking for options for places to eat lunch or dinner while on the water. Thanks
  7. Was out on stockton friday and noticed bouys by the bridge..is it no wake where every you cross under it or is there a section you can run through it on plane still? thanks, Jeremy
  8. Went down Friday and launched out of Orleans Trail around 7:30am. Fished the Little Sac arm up to High Point. Started on mainlake bluff points and brush piles with jerkbait and jig...just hauled water. Ran up past the bridge and fished a few channel swing banks in the stained water...no luck. Biggest thing was the water temps had dropped from last sunday down to 40-42 degrees. Finally around 1p caught first keeper on the mainlake next to a brushpile in 20 fow. Decided to run back into Price and fished some points with standing timber and immediately caught a keeper on a jerkbait and one on a wiggle wart...both on points. Left there and ran over to mile long bridge for a little bit with no luck on a jerkbait or jig. Finished the day in back of Orleans trail around 5:30. Was throwing a crankbait and caught a short....buddy with me was starting to put stuff away to leave and I caught another. So he picked up a jerkbait and we caught another 7-8 fish on a point in the back of the creek. There was a small school of fish stacked in there as we made the same cast and the fish would instantly smash the jerkbait. Loaded up at dark. Sunday 2/28 - Anglers in Action tourney Started back in Price Branch fishing same points we caught them on Friday...fished points for the first couple hours until the sun got up and started warming things up. No action on cranks, jerkbait, or jig. Around 9:30 we moved to the back of Price to see if the water had warmed up any from Friday and it was still just 44-45 degrees. Started on a point that had a nice chunk bank and a drop off and let the wind push us down the bank. There was a little mudline from the wind so we tried to stay parallel to the bank and were slow rolling crankbaits. Within a few minutes we had our first keeper on a bank leading to the next little point. Once we got to the point it shallowed up a little bit but it had a small drop from 3 to 6 feet. First cast to the point and another keeper was in the boat...we backed of the drop and caught a few more fish with two being keepers. All the fish hit right on the drop as soon as your crankbait came over the edge. So we went up and down that bank for a couple hours and put another good keeper in the boat. Went to the very back and caught another short fish on a crankbait. Then we ran over to the other side of the creek and fished a small cut and culled 2 more times with a couple solid keepers. All fish were on a crankbait fished slow throwing it up on the bank and coming over any little ledge/drop off. Ended up with 16.72 lbs and a nice 6.23 big fish...ended up in 2nd Place. 1st place had a solid bag of 3-4 lbers for 18 lbs. Despite the wind the fish are wanting to move up and they were chocking the crankbait...water temp at the end of the day was 49 deg in the back of the creek.
  9. Launched at Orleans Trail at 7:30 am...starting with a jerkbait on mainlake points from Crabtree to the darn...water was 42-44 degrees and roughly 3ft of visibility. No action there so headed up the little sac arm to Maze Creek and went about 2/3rd of the way back to fish some channel swings...water was very stained (less than a foot of visibility) but warmer at 47-48 degrees. Threw RK and jig around a few points with no luck so went to check out the bridge in the very back...same water conditions and saw a few fish hanging in the channel by the bridge...threw jig and RK again with no luck. Not sure if it was anyone on here but did see a boat past the bridge flipping willow trees and bushes...maybe he was on to something?? Didn't like the dirty water so headed back out to the main lake and started fishing bluff ends in the little sac back towards the darn..water cleared up once I got past state park marina...maybe 2 ft visibility. Was switching between stickbait, jig, a-rig, and Lo Spin (underspin). Caught my only 15" fish on jerkbait on the inside of a bluff end. After I caught it the boat drifted up towards the bank and noticed on the graph a small school of bait fish with a couple fish streaking through it...first active fish I had seen on the graph all day. Tried to get the others to bite but to no avail. Ran with the bluff pattern but no more bites...fished all the way over to the mile long bridge but the water got dirty again. Finished the day around 5pm by Orleans trail marina..water was 45 by the marina and almost 48 in the very back...same 3 ft visibility but no action in there on the same baits. After getting home and reading reports it looked like I should of stayed in the stain water a little more....oh well. Nice day to be on the water. Plan to head back down on Friday...hopefully this cold front doesn't mess things up to much.
  10. Thanks for the update...i may wait until Sunday to go...winds are supposed to not be as bad. Hard to not go when it's supposed to be in the 70's
  11. Looks like nice weather this week...plan to come down to Stockton on Thursday. Hopefully water will just be 5-6ft high by then. Was curious what water color was from orleans trail marina to state park to googer...clear or stained? Are all ramps accessible (orleans trail, state park)? Will be bass fishing...will post a report after my trip. Thanks, Jeremy
  12. I was wondering about that as well..seems the board went whopper plopper crazy and Bill hasn't posted since. Always enjoy your reports...looking forward to the next report
  13. What ramps are available for public use around hurricane deck bridge or hwy 7 bridge just inside the niangua. Is Red Oak open for public use...have used it before but only when I stayed there. Thanks, Jeremy
  14. They do make a tungsten wobblehead...i lose way too many lead ones...get costly if they were tungsten!!
  15. All of the tungsten is pure tungsten...none of the weights or jigs are that resin mix coating
  16. Check out www.bassteamtackle.com. Quality tungsten at a reduced price...plus its by the piece so you can order a little or as much as you need
  17. Thanks guys...fish out of ruark a bunch....west ramp...just have never camped there. Wasnt sure how busy the campgrounds were amd how many electric sites there was. Will mostly be bass fishing...trying to figure out the deep/brushpile bite.
  18. Going to spend a couple days on Stockton this Friday and Saturday. Like to fish around ruark bluff but will go up to orleans trail too. Looking for suggestions on best place to camp that has electricity and close to a ramp. Thx!
  19. Thanks guys!! I saw the website for Bob just didn't know if there were any others to get in contact with incase he was full that day. This helps out tremendously. Thanks!!
  20. Any recommendation for a good bass guide on Stockton? Planning a trip in mid April and interested in possibly getting a guide one day I am there. Thanks!
  21. Just curious...was looking at the website and couldn't tell...is it one jig per packet? Just curious...was going to order a few to try out. thanks
  22. Thanks for the additional helps up on that stump....I stopped short and fished the other end of that bluff...so I didn't go up to that area but was planning too the next time out there. I will keep that stump in mind and stay closer to the right. Thanks again
  23. Thanks for all the help! I was out on Stockton today and ventured up there with all the info you guys passed along and made it through that area....I idled a lot going through the three areas above with the sidescan on to make sure I got a good feel of what was out there. I didn't get up all the way to Greenfield but pretty close...decided to fish some good looking bluff end and was able to catch a few shorts. Put it on pad and ran it back out the whole way...well except for where the channel swings across the lake...idled there. Once again thanks for all the help...looking forward to spending more time up in that area exploring
  24. Thanks MeatintheFreezer, that helps out a bunch on were I need to shut down and just idle through.
