I was wondering where I had to launch a boat since the ramp is closed across from swan creek.

I know they are there I have seen them caught. I would like to know how to fish for them right now down there. I really would like to get my boy to hang into one and I would like to also. I would appreciate any help I can get.

They are hammering the crappie and whites this week on live minnows and swimming minnows Up the james side. I wont give exact locations but i am sure it won't take long to find them.

I bow fish but do it in the daytime. We take our carp home scale them fillet them cut them into strips to use on truman jug fishing for white cats. The make awesome catfishing bait for channels and blue cat. It is a fun sport to get into but being disrespectful of other boaters is not helping the sport. It is called common curtasy to not bother other people on the water.

I throw 4lb test for whites and crappie and have been hammering whites up at blunks all week takes about 30 min and im am limited late evening or early before daylight purple swimming minnows purple beetles and a rigs white sliders and smoke purple flake swimming minnow.this was me and a friend limits las night took around 30 minutes to catch our limites purple swimming minnows right before dark

I fish tablerock a lot cause i live close to it but not for walleye. I go to bullshoals altho the pothole is a great place it isn't where we have been fishing. I have been farther down the lake fishing but there has been several guys at the pot hole i know they have been catching about 1 to two fish an hour with most of them short fish. We have been averaging 1 to 4 fish an hour with most in the just keeper range up to the 10lb range and a few bigger then ten pounds but most around keepers to 10lbs here is a 13lb walleye we caught last friday night

We have been catching them since before deer season in november. Monday night me and a buddy went and caught 11 with 7 of them being keepers our biggest was a 4 to 5lb eye caught them from 8pm quit fishing at 10pm we have been twice a week for two months now and have left with a limit every time but twice.

I caught them at all depth no one spacific we caught them from 5ft to 20ft just find little schools catch two or three real quick then keep fishing till you find more was like that the whole day.

These crappie were caught at capefair today we caught around 20 to 25 total but lots were short fish but i still came home with a few to eat. Caught them all on swimming minnows.

The bridge peirs at bridge port has produced for me with the bluff there as well. Bill said it correctly when they are hit and miss but the best i have done is in the channel edge at flat creek and mixed spots up the james along with virgin bluff being productive but it is hit and miss there. I have only been a few times before the snow but i dont start fishing for crappie untill mid january right now i am on a serious walleye bite so most of my fishing time is spent on that.

The crappie are biteing very well on both ends of the lake. Had reports from several buddies catching some nice black crappie around dock's in the baxter to shelknob area. Lots of good crappie to be had at capefair in deep brush and channel edges.

[Cape Fair Report 8/30/13]

I fished the friday nighter out of cape fair last night and the past couple tournaments have been tough. I caught lots of fish but had problems finding keepers I ended up with one bass that was a 3+lber but i don't know where all the keepers are lol they are no where to be found and i know it is not me cause it has been that way for everybody. I did have a good crank bite before dark all short and lots of them would hit it right at the boat but no keepers. When it got dark it slowed way down and fishing was a little tougher but if it was a small fish tournament i think i would have won lol I caught fish on just about every bait i threw but just couldn't find keepers.
