  1. For you guys that have done alot of fishing on the lower section of the buffalo, in your opinion at what level does the fishing start to suffer? We do this trip every year and we went when it was over 7' one year and I'll never do that again. Fishing was terrible and the river was way too fast for our taste. We had originally planned on going saturday the 17th but scratched that due to the cold front and all the water. We then backed it up to the following monday and we're still debating that depending on what the river level is. I know there's a lot of variables to this equation with all the cold weather and high water but we're most concerned about the conditions for fishing. Last year we went at around 3.5' and smoked em pretty good. If we don't go monday we have to back it off til either the 28th or 29th. Thanks in advance guys!
  2. Well we'll be heading to the lower buffalo again the middle of may and was curious if any of yall ever catch catfish in this stretch of the river? If so, what method has worked out best for you? Thanks
  3. Well one reason is that we sell yeti's and I can get one very cheap compared to retail so that's gonna happen anyway and I'd like to have one that will fit in this canoe so I can use it on our yearly trip. I'm sick of cheap ice chests honestly.
  4. Thanks man!!!! I do appreciate it!!!
  5. That would be great! If you could measure the narrowest point behind the front seat and also between the two braces would help tremendously!
  6. If the width on these old town 169 canoes is 37" what do y'all think the inside width is? In other words how wide do y'all think the lip is around the top?
  7. The yeti is definitely not a necessity but I've been wanting one for a while now and ya know how that goes! Lol!
  8. We'll have a couple of soft side coolers for drinks but we always take one large cooler with food. We'll be camping 3 nights and not having to worry bout ice would be great. Also I can get the yeti for much cheaper through my work.
  9. Good morning yall!!! We do a float on the Buffalo every year and this year we're going back to float the lower wilderness area and using wild Bill outfitters. We'll be using the 16'9" old town two man canoe's that they have and I was wondering if anyone knows if a Yeti 75 would fit in that canoe either behind the front seat or between the two wooden braces? It looks like the 65 would fit fine and the 105 would even fit since it's not as long but is taller. Thanks!
