Well let's assume there is ample water to float anywhere on the river. Taking kids and looking for safe paddling, what section would you paddle for a 3 day float. Second question, my wife wants to know if there are any campgrounds you can stay at while floating the river (especially ones with hot showers)?

I also thought about Gilbert to Buffalo point? Anyone have an opinion on these two?

What about Mt. Hersey to Tyler Bend? Can I float that fairly easy in 3 days in mid June? Is it fairly safe with good fishing and good scenery?

Planning on camping along the river. If you go to the white river, how hard is it to go up river to the takeout point?

Planning a trip to the Buffalo River in June. I would like to make a three day trip with the family and do a lot of smallmouth fishing. Looking for calm water and great scenery. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start and how far to travel? My family will include four daughters and my wife. We will be traveling in two kayaks and two canoes.
