  1. Was out there last Sunday. Water temp 78-90 from one end to other. Fished from 7am to noon. Fish are active, had a few bigguns.! Caught a lot of fish.
  2. Went to swepco today (14th) fished from sun up to three. Water temp was 79 or so. They were running water, but usually it's hotter than that?!. Been a few times in the past month and it was 90, i assumed they were doing maintenance. Lots of small fish shallow. Caught maybe 15 under a pound and 5 a little over. Saw some baitballs on the graph at all depths, most were packed back in the flooded timber though, caught my two nicest fish there. Maybe a three and a four pounder on a jig and and creature bait. Tried lotsa different things to get the bigger fish to bite deep, not much luck. I was out there about a month and a half ago and they had just spawned. Not sure where that puts the next one, I know they spawn year round so looking forward to the lunkers again.
  3. Of it. I don't look at the map much either. Hmmm
  4. That makes since. Come to think
  5. Thanks so much J-Doc. You saved me a lot of footwork. Yeah, I paid more than I wanted to for the elite 7, but I upgraded boats from a 74 stick steer (crappie machine), to a 99 javelin (crappie and bass machine) and I just couldn't leave the 99 electronics on there. Ha Guess I'll be asking for a navionics southern region map card for Christmas. Thanks again, and if you know of anyone interested in a 74 stick steer with a 50 merc on it, lemme know
  6. I just bought an elite 7. Anybody know, with the free beaver lake enhanced map available, if I could load that map on any navionics SD card. Say one that has the Great Lakes or northern region? Or does it have to be a card that has beaver lake already? Just a question because there are some cheap cards available on eBay for northern lakes, and I only need beaver, so putting two and two together.
  7. Let me amend that by saying, I have a fifteen footer, so i dont get down that far, but have seen long bass boats galore go in and out
  8. New here. Good to be with like minded folks. Ready for crappie and bass spawn on beaver! And ready for the next spawn on swepco, nothing like catching 4s and 5s on a regular basis!
  9. Someone recently dropped a big pile of rocks at the end of the ramp to keep trailers from dropping off. Shouldn't be a problem anymore, just don't freak when you see your trailer start to shimmy up and down when fully backed down. Just the rocks down there.
