  1. not looking to adopt. it was all i could do to kick the first one out of the house and off to school. Got three more i am looking to sell. Leaving work right now to go finish packing. should be on the water by noon tomorrow. if my sons laptop can find some service down there we will try to give updates to everyone as much as possible. Some updates might read a little off tilt. if so it's the booze.
  2. not a problem. like normal i am always looking to help. Coming to the end of the day at work and figured i would check and see if anyone had posted new information. I will get your booze packed tonight. I am assuming when you come back from college wednesday night you will be bringing your laptop on the trip. Love ya son and look forward to seeing you tomorrow night.
  3. Not to worry. I hear your dad is the next best thing to having a professional crappie fishing guild in the boat. Fish are starting to move in and school up. Dont be affraid to look for the bigger males to be starting to make the nest but remember the depth of the actual spawn is realitive to the water clearity. Crappie will spawn in the right conditions as deep as 20 feet. Sounds like this weekend has a slight warming trend which will help. the wind on Saturday might make you think more about which cove you are in releative to the wind direction. The moon and its effects will leveling off each day, which isn't a bad thing it just takes the high peaks out of the fish bite and levels them off a little. All else fails you can hunker down and try to pull them off the tops of structure on the end of boat dock and if you simply can't get them to bite, just ask your dad what you are doing wrong.
  4. Me and a group of friend go down every year very early april for our anual crappie fishing trip. we have stayed at a lot of different resorts. Since we are so early in the year we normaly dont get much as far as the pools and such being open. the last 2 years we have stayed at Runaway2resort. Works good for us and is in a very quit cove. Pool is not open but the resturant is. In the past we have stayed at LakeVeiw. Indoor pool open and they even have a condo setup that we used one year and we really enjoyed ourselfs. Several years back we stayed at Alhonna Resort and again indoor pool was open. resturant and bar was open as well. We have stayed at Rock Harbor a couple time. Fine for the fisherman but not much else to brag about. Stayed at Knotty pine as well but that was 15 years ago. 15 years ago rustic was a good description. In the end it all comes down to the amount of money you want to spend. If you are not afraid to drop some coin. look at Tan-Tar-A resort. Had a friend a few years ago that let us stay at his condo for the weekend. As a group of fisherman in May we where for sure standing out but as far as having EVERYTHING from.Golf, shopping, horse riding, swimming they seemed to have it all. All the resorts i have mentioned have web sights. Good luck. Hope you have fun.
