The brown's have been stocked. A friend and I floated and fished from Baptist Camp to Cedar Grove on Monday. All we caught the whole trip was small browns. I believe they stocked 36,000 8in browns. Jadwin Canoe gave me the info.
I would buy a kayak that is at least 12 feet in length. This way you will have the storage for longer trips and will be more efficient when you paddle. If you buy 10 ft. yak after a few years you probably wish you would have gotten something bigger. I love fishing out of my 14 ft. Jackson Cuda. The larger yaks can handle tight twisty rivers with good paddling technique.
