  1. Been a member here for a year or two.... Enjoy bass fishing wether it be the pits, ponds, reservoirs, or streams. I have a 12ft jon and a 12 yak and looking for someone who would like to float and fish. I'm free usually sun through wed
  2. Im looking at going out to Honey Creek tomorrow in Grove depending on a few things. Maybe someone morefamiliar with Grand can help me out. I have a 12' flat jon with a 5hp that I usually use at Bushwaker Lake up in Nevada MO. I am familiar withthe park but have never been out in a boat there. Will my boat be ok in the that area? I wont be going on the main lake at all, just the small cove north of the park. My second question is this, I am a largemouth/small mouth man. Will I have any luck in this area or am I wasting my time. I see a lot of docks on the north side I could pitch to and there should be a descent depth change if not any drop offs? So what are your thoughts? Bushwacker tomorrow, or Honey Creek?
  3. went back out today and got a little farther upstream. took a drive along scenic but am little worried about trespassing till I can get some company to show me some ok places. ended up spending an hour in a half on the Tipton ford access banks. on my third cast pulled in this 12 inches. after that bite when cold. switched baits a few times then called it quits. looking to get back out both Thursday and Sunday if anyone wants to join.
  4. PM'd you Buzz
  5. well I've lived in the area my whole life but for some reason never spent a lot of time on shoal. I finally have a job now where I can get out and get out often. I'd love to find some places, but with the stories of landowners I have stuck mostly to public access. I'd love to learn more about our local treasure that is shoal creek, and I have a feeling this forum will teach me a lot
  6. looks like you did a little better than me. I gotta get farther upstream, that and keep Savin for a yak.
  7. finally got the chance to get wet this evening. nothing special just floated the jon on the north side of the low water bridge in Joplin before the falls. I only got a little smallie and two papermouths but it was good to be out. The water still seems cold I'll try to get a temp when I go back out tomorrow morning. For those interested, I was working an UL with a white rooster tail as this was more of a nature trip tgen a fishing one. (wasn't expecting much in those parts)
