I first want to thank you for all the responses. In the past my friends and I have traveled up to Wisconsin for a smallmouth canoeing trip. Since we allhave kids now, we are looking to do something closer to home. We are looking for a nice stretch of river that offers good smallmouth fishing, comfortable cabins with some decent river access. I've noticed Gasconade Hills on the Gasconade of course, and Boiling Springs on the Big Piney. Does anyone have any experience at these places? Any other suggestions?
