  1. I guess i just don't have any good producing spots any more. I've checked 3 different places and found nothing. i know i can spot them but it has been a while so maybe my eyes are out of whack. heading up tomorrow to hit the crappie. hopefully my lucks a little better with them

  3. Soured corn is great for chuming cats along with range cubes but if I'm not mistaking isn't it illegal to chum in missouri. just sayin, don't want anyone to get in trouble

  6. Went to taylor sat. afternoon and fished a cheartruse swimming minnow with a pink head. we caught 15 - 20 with only 5 bigger fish. lots of small males. lol I've been saying this for weeks now but should be good soon. one plus with the late start is by the time they are running good the morrells should be out. Good luck and good fishing.
  7. Nice fish!!
  8. Buddy of mine fished taylor bridge today and caught around 20 short male whites. only 2 females that he saw caught while he was there. Next weekend and definitely by the 10th the white bass fishing should be great.
  9. Nice. so in fishermans terms we can safely say it went 7.5 - 8lbs lol. Well done!!
  10. I think that they all sound great and once everyone's freezer is full we all need to meet somewhere at the lake and each bring their favorite white bass recipe and have a big ol white bass buffet!
  11. Good luck ducky. be safe!!

  22. I'm not sure but if i was to guess i would say no. the 215 bridge between morissvil and 123 is pretty low there. i know that's a ways down river but that was a lot higher there last year. by next week things should be quit good for the whites if it stays warm. a bit of rain would be great as well.
  23. Went up and fished north of aldrich off the bank on the bluff adjacent from the flat. ended up with 5 really big female whites. all were caught on a large single tale white grub and pink head and blood red hook jig head. by the time i found them the wind had layed and they had shut down. they were all holding on the up wind side of a point near structure and you had to cast with the wind and retrieve against it or no bite. was told earlier this morning limits were being caught on windy banks as well. after this rain and front pushes through should be game on. 2 guys were also fishing the same bluff with minnows and a cork and when i left had caught there first crappie wich suprised me by it being that shallow. they were only fishing 4ft deep. also caught 2 nice large mouth laying right up againt the bank. good luck and good fishin!
  24. Thanks guys for the advice. most likely going to go with two and for sure want to have the maps and gps. sounds like late nights learning and late nights and weekends working to save up but it'll be worth it. I've been fishing in a 14ft aluminum with a 25hp for the last 5 years. don't get me wrong caught a ton of fish on it but its too light and narrow. its time to get the bigger fiberglass boat fixed up. thanks again good luck and be safe
  25. I'm setting up one of my boats with newer equipment and i was wondering how everyone has there's and what they have. I'm going to put on new fish finders and i want to put a gps combo at the wheel and was wonder about good quality but not breaking the bank. also if it benefitial to have two and put one up front and one at wheel and where the best place to mount sensors and is. any advice and personal experience is greatly appriciated!! goodluck and be safe!!
