Sorry to hear this. He will be missed on this forum. He had a wealth of fishing information that he always seemed glad to pass along. Although I never met him, I will miss him. RIP Jim.
I went out about the same time around Masters. Caught several bass, mostly smallmouth with watermelon/red flake worm. I was in the back of a cove and the carp were going nuts. So many of them you could have walked across them. Water was 62-64. Most of the bass were caught off main lake points in 4-8 feet of water. Good fishing.
You need a program on your computer to view .GPX files. I use Navionics PC or Topofusion. they show the lake and the location of the fish attractors on it. I heard there are free programs out there to view the .GPX files. Good luck.
Have you tried this link. http://egis.mdc.mo.gov/fishattractorstablerocklake/gpx_files_each_lake.htm. It has fish attractor locations for all the lakes around here. You can view them in on your computer and also load them into your fishfinder.
After finally updating FF software (I had problems with Humminbird web page), I was able to upload the waypoints I wanted. Thanks to everyone for their help.
I have a question for you guys who are in the know. I have a Hummingbird 587 CI DI fish finder and can anyone tell me how to load the map with the fish attractors for Stockton Lake onto it. I downloaded the map with coordinates to my PC but would like to load it into the Hummingbird. Do I just load it onto a SD card and use it that way? Will the Hummingbird accept the format? Thanks for any help offered. Also, Thank you Bob for a very informative seminar last night. Good fishing everyone!
