I drifted cut shad Saturday morning from 9-noon and caught two. It was SLOW. Decided that with the good south winds, sun and more stable weather the bite had to pick up. Went back at 6 that same evening and drifted to 10pm with a new batch of fresh cut shad and had zero bites. Not sure what had them shut down. Drifting channel cat is about all I do and I have reliable spots and none of them produced. I even broke my own traditions and drifted new water in depths from 10 to 25 and no dice. It's the first off day I've had this year. I'm sure it'll pick up, but I'll wait another week before heading back.
