I have used the pflueger reels and have liked them. It seems that most people prefer those or shimano reels, but I am also leaning towards the lews reels since they are made locally.

Would that reel be big enough for the heavier line?

I would like some advice on a spinning reel to match my rod it's a 6.5 ft med hvy lure wt. 1/4 - 3/4 with line wt. 8-17 thanks.
