I know a lot of people are not willing to share this but I am curious as to what everyone's favorite lures are for the James?

How about the james river? Should I be fishing up stream from lake springfield or below the dam? My daughter is just getting old enough she loves fishing but she's still little enough she gets bored if she's not catching fish.

I am new to springfield and I'm trying to figure the area out I've been fishing fellows lake and have had very little success. I put my kayak in at lake springfield and went up the james a ways and fished around in the area caught a couple fish can anyone give me any advice as to where on the james I should be fishing "is the area I was in ever very productive"? How about fellows lake I talked to a guy that said I need to go across the lake to catch fish? Any advice
